100% Indian cotton with mitred corners, care labels, natural dyes, hand block printed.

Antonia Monroe is foremost a painter, with an enduring love of textiles.  In a small village on the coast of Maine, Antonia designs original stencils which are printed in her studio by hand on linen, cotton, silk, and wool.  She mixes natural dyes to achieve subtle variations in muted colors or fiber reactive dyes which yield intense brilliant colors.

Antonia’s collection of limited edition textiles is informed by extensive travel, research and study of historical methods and materials, primarily in India but also influenced by the study of European and Japanese textile traditions.  A distinct lyrical aesthetic and love of detail permeate all Antonia Textile designs.

We are pleased to present our first limited edition collection of Antonia Textile table linens, designed by Antonia in her studio and dyed and printed in the village of Bagru in Rajasthan. Each stencil motif is carved into a wood block by master artisans. Antonia collaborates with the 6th generation printing families from the Studio Bagru collective to create a stunning line of versatile cotton tablecloths and napkins. We offer four natural dyes, typical of the region: organic indigo, kashish, a mineral-based gray, madder red or ochre, made from pomegranate, turmeric or teak flowers. Each pattern can be mixed and matched to create an eclectic festive table anytime of the year!
