This series of mugs references a bridge Mimi passes by on her walks in Portland. She likes to imagine metaphors. The bridge connects two sides; the handle is a point of contact. The seam is a remnant of Mimi’s process and visual focal point. She wants the coming together of two sides of the form to feel soft, just a bit organic, and tender.
